House roll calls, 1939-2002.

The House roll calls serve as a record of how each House member voted on certain House bills, Senate bills, House joint resolutions, Senate joint resolutions, amendments, adjournments, etc. within a specific regular or special session of the House. Each page within the roll calls includes: House bill no.(or: Senate bill no., House joint resolution no., Senate joint resolution no., etc.), the name in alphabetical order of each House member, a check mark or a hole punched next to each member's name explaining whether they voted 'yea' or 'nay' on the bill, etc., and a total number of those members that voted 'yea', 'nay', or did not vote. By having the date, type of session and bill number, the information in the House roll calls can be cross-referenced to the bill descriptions in the House or Senate registers.
